Forbes Celeb 100 list: Kapil Sharma makes a comeback; Sunny Leone, Karan Kundra among highest-paid TV stars - Economic Times

Forbes recently released its Celebrity 100 list, which is essentially a compilation of the highest-paid Indians, taking into account a multitude of factors. The list was groundbreaking for multiple reasons, mainly because Virat Kohli dethroned Salman Khan, the Bollywood biggie and also because TV actors dominated the list.

Neha Kakkar, who hosts the singing television reality show ‘Indian Idol’, at rank 29, was the highest-paid TV celeb on the list, clocking in Rs 25 crore. The singer was followed by Sunny Leone, at rank 48. Leone is known for her hosting gig and MTV’s reality show ‘Splitsvilla’, and amassed Rs 2.5 crore.

After dropping out of last year's list, comedian Kapil Sharma made a comeback on the 2019 Forbes India Celebrity 100 list at rank 53. He earned a whopping Rs 34.98 crore.

Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor also featured on the list. Though he has dropped from his 32nd rank last year, he dominates the new line of celebrity chefs category at rank 73.

Thanks to her stint in reality music show, ‘The Voice’, Divyanka Tripathi was also on the list, moving up from last year’s 94th rank to 79th.

Following Tripathi, was comedy queen Bharti Singh who raked in Rs 10.92 crore at rank 82, and Remo D’Souza with Rs 1.63 crore stood 86th.

Raveena Tandon, too, made her presence felt on the list, clocking in Rs 2.4 crore at rank 89.

Karan Kundra, best known for his hosting gig on ‘Love School 4’, earned Rs 4.12 crore and featured at the 92nd spot.
