I’m A Celeb’s Georgia Toffolo breaks down in tears as she’s ‘detained’ at Maldives airport and begs for help - The Sun

REALITY star Georgia "Toff" Toffolo broke down today as told how she has been detained at an airport in the Maldives over a missing page in her passport.

The I'm a Celeb winner, 25, posted a tearful video from Male airport begging for help as she revealed she is "very scared".

Toff said: "I have been detained at Male airport for a page missing on my passport.

"I don’t know what else to do I have been here for hours. I am not allowed to board a flight home because of my damaged passport but I am also not allowed to leave the airport. Please help."

The star, who is close pals with Boris Johnson's dad Stanley, was on her way to a luxury beach resort for Christmas when she claims she was stopped.

She later posted an update on her Instagram claiming she was being deported back to London.

The Made in Chelsea star said: "I am not spending Christmas on my own in London - any advice trying to get an emergency passport tomorrow.

"I planned such a lovely Christmas in the Maldives. Let me know."

'PLEASE HELP'

Toff, who appeared on Celebrity Hunted this year with the PM's dad, had earlier Instagrammed the first leg of her journey into Zurich as she showed off a new jumper.

But the second half of her story saw the 2017 Queen of the Jungle break down as she complained she couldn't leave the airport to get to the British Embassy.

British Ambassador to the Maldives Caron Rohsler has now replied to her tweet, saying: "Consular assistance is being provided & I am confident you will soon be enjoying all the delights that Maldives has to offer. PM me if you need more info."

Travellers can be blocked from entering a country if their passport is damaged - including if pages are missing.

Other reasons include a passport not being in a condition to be accepted as a proof of identity.

This could mean there is an ink spillage on a page, water damage, a hole punch, indecipherable personal details or discolouration to the bio-data page.
