I'm a Celeb's Roman Kemp lands big presenting role after jungle - digitalspy.com

It's only taken Roman Kemp a week to land a huge new presenting gig after leaving the I'm a Celebrity jungle.

The Capital FM radio host is capitalising on his third-place finish on the ITV series to become the nation's party host this New Year's Eve.

Roman has been signed up to co-present BBC One's Craig David Rocks Big Ben Live on December 31, counting down the big night alongside the '7 Days' singer.

This special will feature Roman hosting from Westminster Central Hall, while Craig David performs with his band ahead of the fireworks once the clock strikes midnight.

Roman actually hosted the BBC's New Year's Eve special once before in 2017, when pop and disco legend Nile Rodgers performed with his iconic band Chic.

"I'm so excited to be back hosting NYE again, standing beside the man I've listened to since I was six years old: Craig David," Roman said today (December 17).

"It's always an amazing showcase, I truly can't wait to see everyone there and bring in 2020."

While Roman was away last year, the BBC's New Year Live was co-hosted by 2018's Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley and runner-up Joe Sugg.

Roman also has some big plans in his personal life for the year ahead, hinting that he's feeling "broody" to start a family with his girlfriend Anne-Sophie Flury (who did meet him on the I'm a Celebrity bridge, btw).

I'm a Celebrity aired on ITV and its aftershow I'm a Celebrity: Extra Camp aired on ITV2.
